About Performance Tire & Auto Service

In the spring of 1989, Performance Tire & Auto Service opened for business in a building with a Firestone tire shop and five service bays. In the beginning years, automotive service work mostly involved tires, exhaust systems, wheel alignments, and undercar services. It met the needs of customers at the time, but "the times were a-changin" and we needed to change with them. So we did.

We expanded our offerings and gave motorists more of the automotive services they needed. Our goal was to provide customers with a one-stop shop experience at Performance Tire & Auto Service. In addition to improving our service capabilities, we wanted to provide the best service possible in the timeliest manner. With carburetors becoming obsolete and more manufacturers using fuel injection and computerization, it was important to invest in state-of-the-art equipment, technician and mechanic training, and certification.
